Dr. Zhiqiang Guan is a Principal Research Fellow of the University of Queensland and program leader of heat exchanger program, QGECE. He graduated from School of the University of Queensland in Mechanical and Mining Engineering, Mechanics of Rock/Tool/Machine Interaction—CRC Mining and industry Project. He skilled in project management (ODC work area manager, smart longwall group leader, heat exchanger program leader), mechanical design (autocad, solidwork, pro/engineer), heat and mass transfer analysis, power plant cooling and modelling analysis, programming & data analysis (Java, Matlab, Microsoft Access), condition monitoring (vibration & modal analysis), dynamic modelling and fatigue analysis (software: nSoft, nCode, MSC/Fatigue), finite element modelling, solid modelling, static and dynamic modeling, proficient use FEA software included: IDEAS, PATRAN/NASTRAN, MSC/NASTRAN for WINDOWS, MATLAB, static and dynamic modeling, strain Gauging, selection and installation of strain gauges; strain gauge testing to verify FE models, data processing, experimental stress analysis/field instrumentation, mechanical vibration and equipment maintenance.
